There are two interesting plaques in this upper area - this one shows more of the general historical figures who were held here (and what happened to them...) The dates - aC - here mean BEFORE Christ. So 200 years before Christ this prison was being used already to hold Ponzio, King of the Sanniti, before he was beheaded.
