When you first come into the base of the dome, you find yourself on a catwalk of sorts around the inside of dome, with a bird's eye view of everything below. Unfortunately, they have a very tall fence up that makes it practically impossible to get decent photos from up here, you have to try to squeeze the lens between the wire... I got a few that are passable though, including this view looking down onto the "St. Joseph" altar (where Sts. Simon and Jude are buried)
