Today, on this Feast of our Lady of Fatima, the Vatican celebrated the 25th anniversary of the assassination attempt on John Paul II's life, May 13th, 1981. A lot of you who have been to Rome have seen the little red cobblestone in the Square marking the spot that he was on when he was shot - well, as of yesterday that little brick is gone and replaced with this beautiful piece of marble.
