The Roamin' Roman

Benvenuto! You have happened upon the blog of a wandering Catholic American college student studying for a year in Rome, the Eternal City. You will find here my pontifications, ruminations, reflections, images, and ponderings on my life in Rome. Ciao!

The papal procession out - still in utter silence, with no closing blessing.

This Triduum, with no closing blessing at the Holy Thursday or Good Friday liturgies, it really hit home to me how it is really all a single "Mass" - how the sacrifice of Christ really began at the Last Supper, consummated on Good Friday, and ended by giving us the hope of salvation with His rising in glory. For the first time in my life, the Triduum truly felt like what it is, one continous movement of grace, one action, one liturgy.
