It was amazing, as the Pope processed in, the crowd was almost completely silent. There was no clapping or noise of any kind, thank goodness. All in all, I must say, that throughout the Triduum at the Vatican the congregation at each Mass was very well behaved (the Holy Thursday Mass was the noisest, but even that one wasn't that bad, just moderately annoying). Very impressive.
