In a side chapel is a reliquary containing what is said to be part of the gridiron that St. Lawrence was burned on. I must say, there sure does seem to be a lot of churches here in Rome dedicated to St. Lawrence, pretty popular saint around here! There's yet another church dedicated to St. Lawrence on the list to be visited on this Tuesday, San Lorenzo in Damaso - stay tuned!
