The church is also supposed to be the home of a Eucharistic miracle, a priest reputedly dropped a Host and when it landed it left "burned in" marks in the marble. I dunno, the marks on on the steps, protected by those little black boxes, and they seem to be quite a ways from the altar area... not sure how a Host would land there. But anyway.
