The Roamin' Roman

Benvenuto! You have happened upon the blog of a wandering Catholic American college student studying for a year in Rome, the Eternal City. You will find here my pontifications, ruminations, reflections, images, and ponderings on my life in Rome. Ciao!

Sunday, March 19

After the Mass, the Irish Dominicans (who have care of San Clemente - yet another fine Dominican site in Rome!) celebrated Morning Prayer of the Liturgy of the Hours - beautiful chanting. FYI - San Clemente is one of the jewels of Rome, and is a must see if you ever find yourself in Rome; basically all of Christian history can be discovered here, in the three levels of the church going all the way down to the original house church of St. Clement himself. Under the main altar are the tombs of Sts. Clement and Ignatius of Antioch, elsewhere in the church is the tomb of St. Cyril (of Cyril and Methodius fame) - in case you were wondering.
