The Roamin' Roman

Benvenuto! You have happened upon the blog of a wandering Catholic American college student studying for a year in Rome, the Eternal City. You will find here my pontifications, ruminations, reflections, images, and ponderings on my life in Rome. Ciao!

We stopped at a few more places, then came to this historic church of Sts. John and Paul (not the apostles, these are the ones that are mentioned first in the list of martyrs in the Roman Canon, Eucharistic Prayer I, at Mass) This is one of the few spots in Rome that is still truly "ancient" in appearance, where a person from way back in Roman times could appear and recognize pretty much the entire surroundings - very neat. Also cool - for you movie buffs out there, the classic Catholic film the "Scarlet and the Black" had a few scenes around here, and one inside this church...
