So, last night being our last night here, a bunch of us decided to go to the evening Latin Mass at St. Peter's, and then go out to eat at a German restaurant near the Vatican - our mission? Not just to have good German beer, but also to see about getting the infamous Ratzinger Table! (We did! The plaque above Jim's head says something to the effect of "favored table of Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, now Pope Benedict XVI." We are not sure if Jim's placement at the Spot itself is any indication of future mitre and crosier, stay tuned...! :)
