The Roamin' Roman

Benvenuto! You have happened upon the blog of a wandering Catholic American college student studying for a year in Rome, the Eternal City. You will find here my pontifications, ruminations, reflections, images, and ponderings on my life in Rome. Ciao!

Sunday, December 25

We got split up of course by the time we got inside, a couple of us found ourselves two seats without really thinking about where they were, just grabbed the first ones we saw. Then we realized that we were right next to the Nativity scene (in the St. Pius X chapel) - and that we were right alongside the aisle that the Pope would come down to get to the Nativity scene after Mass (for the placement of the baby Jesus in the manger) - not too bad!! So we pretty much could only hear the celebration of Mass (the Pope is just a little speck in this picture, as you can see... maybe! ;), but we were able to smile our greetings to the Holy Father.
