The Redemptoris Mater chapel, Fr. Carola is giving us a "theological tour" of the iconography and mosaic design, and a bit of history about the chapel, which was created in honor of Pope John Paul II's 50th anniversary of ordination and was done in the hope of uniting both "lungs" of the Church, the East and the West. (though, as I said, that didn't last too long...) Can you tell which wall has the Eastern influence and which was solely the design of the Western priest? I thought so.
