The Roamin' Roman

Benvenuto! You have happened upon the blog of a wandering Catholic American college student studying for a year in Rome, the Eternal City. You will find here my pontifications, ruminations, reflections, images, and ponderings on my life in Rome. Ciao!

Saturday, December 3

The cabinet housing the relics of the Passion. On the top are, left to right, St. Thomas the Apostle's finger, pieces from the flagellation whip, thorns from the crown of thorns. In the middle are the fragments of the Cross itself. On the bottom is a nail, and part of the inscription that hung over the top of the Cross of Christ (the Greek portion). On the left, standing upright, is the crossbeam from the cross of the Good Thief I think.
