Later that day, I found myself in Piazza Navona next to the church of St. Agnes in Agony (the site of her martyrdom) - and so, yes, that is St. Agnes' skull, kept in a reliquary in a lovely chapel inside the church. There are also lower levels that you can go to to see the actual site, but I was not able to get there just yet.... one of these days!
