The Roamin' Roman

Benvenuto! You have happened upon the blog of a wandering Catholic American college student studying for a year in Rome, the Eternal City. You will find here my pontifications, ruminations, reflections, images, and ponderings on my life in Rome. Ciao!

Jason, in the midst of the recessional - what a splendid way to conclude the Triduum, the holiest days of the liturgical year! That is it (whew) for my "Holy Week in Rome" selection of photos - tomorrow, I will post photos from our trip today to Loreto - yes - we did go, it was amazing... but it's almost midnight here and so... see you tomorrow!

Thank-you so much for those posts! I did the Holy Week in Rome marathon in 2004 with some friends from Germany. Looking through your pictures literally brought tears to my eyes reflecting back on the Easter I spent in Rome and our late Holy Father (it was the last Easter he was able to actively participate in). We didn't manage to get tickets for all the masses at the Vatican, so we ended up going to the Regina Apostolorum for the Easter Vigil. We had been invited by some Legionary of Christ seminarians we'd met at the Colosseum on Good Friday. We were in St. Peter's for Easter Morning though (yes, very little sleep in between) and it was such an incredible experience. Anyways, thank-you once again for these wonderful posts.

In the joy of the Resurrection,
