At Communion time, they distributed the Hosts differently than I have seen before - in the past when I had come, they had kept all the priests along the outsides of the sections, and people had to come to the rail (ok, fight their way to the rail at all costs) to receive Communion. Now, they instead let the priests/deacons who were distributing directly into the sections themselves, on the main aisles, and simply moved farther and farther along until they got through the whole section. I must say, while it was still a bit congested to try to make it to the priest, it seemed to work a lot more smoothly this way. Hopefully they keep this method for these huge outdoor Masses.
