The Roamin' Roman

Benvenuto! You have happened upon the blog of a wandering Catholic American college student studying for a year in Rome, the Eternal City. You will find here my pontifications, ruminations, reflections, images, and ponderings on my life in Rome. Ciao!

Sunday, March 26

Wednesday of the 3rd Week of Lent - Station Church - well, it's supposed to be San Sisto... but not this year. So we all went to St. Philip Neri's church, Chiesa Nuova, instead. The priests in charge of the church were really excited for us to be there, they came out at the end of Mass bearing a reliquary of St. Neri for us to venerate! It was also fun watching Bishop Brown of Orang County, California being a bit "out of his element" in a Roman church, wearing a Roman-style chasuble. I'm guessing they don't do that much in OC (?).
