This church is popular with Filipino migrant workers.

One nun who works with migrant workers there told me that Santa Pudenziana, Santa Praxedes, and Santo Novatus were brother and sisters, the children of a Roman senator who knew Saint Peter personally. She said, St. Peter was supposed to have visited their house, on which site Santa Pudenziana's church was built.

The nun also said there are lots and lots of saints' relics in the basement.
