Photo time at last! (Sorry for the delay... surely you can understand why! :)

This is a good view of the Lourdes' Basilica(s) from just over the river Gave - Upper church (Basilica of the Immaculate Conception), Crypt (directly beneath the upper church), and Rosary Basilica (the gold crown is the top of the dome of the basilica). On the lower right, beneath where the high altar is of the upper church, is the Grotto itself. The flags show the beginning of the Angelus procession from the Grotto on Sunday.
